  1. Who is Walter the Wonderful a.k.a. Walter J. Klimek AIFD, CFD?
He's the "official-unofficial Ambassador of Good Will for Douglas Michigan".

  1. How did he get that name?
It started years ago after he retired from teaching high school biology and horticulture for 26 years in the Chicago Public Schools. He was also known by two names, as Captain "K" (Students couldn't pronounce Klimek, kept calling him Mr. Climate or Mr. Climax) and Captain D'Bris (The school couldn't afford much, so Walter became the "Master Scrounger").

Retiring from teaching and starting another chapter in his life, he opened a floral business in Douglas Michigan called
Earthly Expressions Inc. There, like Madonna, he reinvented himself and became Walter the Wonderful.

  1. What happened next?
After ten years, he sold his business and retired again, not. He went through major life changes. La Dramatique ... the "river of life" took him in a new direction. He decided to focus on his permanent florals and pay it forward.

    He started
Designs by Walter the Wonderful, Inc. His florals are now featured in shops in Holland and Douglas. It made him smile.

  1. What is the Walter the Wonderful (Almost) Foundation To Do Good?
Walter started it in 2006, when he sold his floral business of ten years, Earthly Expressions Inc. He decided to retire again at the age of 62, enjoy life and do good. It made him smile.
